What is Wine Teasers?

Wine Teasers Wine Game is a trendy, educational game that combines trivia, hints, chance, and even the occasional diabolical maneuver to provide a fun and unpretentious wine learning experience. Teams of players answer questions, discuss topics, loot virtual wines from each other and have a fun, educational experience along the way. Wine Teasers’ motto, “The FUN way to learn wine,” describes the game perfectly.
Wine Teasers is different from other trivia games because each question has a big hint. This creates an environment not of one-upsmanship, but instead of lighthearted, cooperative play and learning.
Teams do not hear the hint unless they are unable to answer the question without it. Teams move ahead more quickly if they are able to answer questions without the hint, but the hints guarantee that even wine beginners have a chance to answer questions correctly.
Once a team answers a question correctly, they qualify to add a “wine bottle card” to their team’s virtual wine cellar. Sometimes they are directed to select a specific type of bottle card, sometimes they can exchange cards and sometimes they can loot cards from the other team. The first team that collects one bottle card in each of six categories wins the game.
Throughout the game, players have opportunities to discuss topics and learn. For example, each question has a one-paragraph explanation that is read out loud. Similarly, each wine bottle card has descriptive text and recommended food pairings. Players are encouraged to discuss their experiences with the topics at hand.
